My Niece FRANCISCA

Last Monday, 15th September around 12.30 Francisa was born weighinf 2.500g and 43cm. Is is tiny and definatley the smallest baby I have erver held. She is beautiful and ever so perfect. It amazes me how one so small can be so perfect and wonderful.

Vicente is always on the go...

This kid NEEDS to always be ready to go out. He is such a trooper. He does have a busy schedule for a month old baby but I am sure he loves it. I, on the other hand am not to happy about this on the go stuff. I seem to spend my day driving kids around and and strapping seat belts. This routine sure keeps me going - I only wish it would make all these extra curves and kilos disapear quicker.

Showering Kiko

The shower is Kiko´s new thing now. He absolutely loves it. Now that he is fully potty trained, we are also trying to enroll him in swimming classes. The only accept older than 3 but because there is no way I can find time to jump in the water with him for a whole hour and also because he is so at ease in the water we might get lucky. Will know sometime next week. He is full re-adapted to school routine and still very much in love with Vicente. He is such a family oriented boy. All is well as long as we all do it together. What a charmer too...

Vicente Update

FIVE weeks ago, Vicente was born. Last week, at his 4 week check up he weighed 4.600g and 54cm so we can now safely say he is a well fed baby! Yet another chubby monkey at least for the next two years - I just hope my rib is fully healed by now because I am lifting serious weight! He feeds every 3 hours during the day. At night he has a 6h stretch and then 4h more so not too bad I guess. He sleeps most of the day and smiles when awake. He isn´t a fussy baby but does have his cry at the end of the day, what we call colic hour. He loves his bath and will sleep forever when out and about or in the car. This past weekend I took him to Porto with me and we had a wonderful time just the two of us. Christmas shopping for the shop sucked but that is a totally different story. All in all we are adapting and enjoying! WOW - I need three posts just to update on children!

No more diapers for Kiko!

Sebastião wanted a photo too this morning! And what can one say? How cute can one be? He still drives us insane - he can be ever so naughty, but somehow always gets his way. Kiko started day care last Thursday and adapted just fine. He is now TOTALY nappy FREE. No more diapers for Kiko, not even at night. He is one clever boy and amazes us constantly.

António 1st Day at School

Today was the Day! Big Boys school. How bitter sweet for me that is. It broke my heart to leave him there, all alone, in the reading corner going through an animal book. He was a bit taken back specially because everything is new and he knows NO ONE there. So for the very first time after leaving a son in school, I shed a silent tear... My baby boy is growing up to fast. He was so excited this morning with his new uniform and all - I hope the day is going well and that he will be as thrilled to go back tomorrow. We have a riding lesson today after school so that will keep his mind busy and Happy! He is so eager to learn how to read and write. He has started to read, but need a lot more practice and someone who can teach him whatever techniques there are. He also wants to do Judo as an outside of school activity but we will probably keep up with swimming and maybe horseback riding on weekends.
